Job Title: Government IT Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Government IT Business Analyst to join our team at First Tek, Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications, facilitating business process development, and managing business process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead consultations and facilitate stakeholder meetings to gather requirements from diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Create business requirements, functional specifications, and technical requirements to support project delivery.
  • Develop and implement new business and technical processes, and complete business process reviews/re-engineering for existing processes.
  • Facilitate business process improvement sessions and support the development of new IT services.
  • Provide support by bridging communication between vendors, client ministries, and corporate technical and business teams.
  • Escalate unresolved issues/risks, options, and recommendations to ensure project delivery is in alignment with business/technical requirements.
Requirements
  • 8 years of experience as a business analyst translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
  • 3 years of experience in developing integrated system and technical design specifications.
  • 5 years of experience in facilitating and managing business process development and process improvement initiatives.
  • 5 years of experience in gathering requirements from diverse groups of stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • 5 years of experience with written and verbal communications, including specific experience in creating business requirements, functional specifications, and technical requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and iterative development using model-based processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders.

First Tek, Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $80-110 per hour, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
