Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Administrative Health Records Coordinator to join our team at Penticton Regional Hospital in beautiful Penticton, BC. This is a casual position with rotating days of work and varying shift times.

What You'll Do
  • Prepare, maintain, and store patient information in both paper and electronic formats.
  • Perform secretarial duties for managers and physicians, including typing technical and non-technical material.
  • Conduct quantitative analysis to ensure accuracy of patient records and retrieve, organize, and file patient documents.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries regarding patient information and performing data entry functions for clinical registries and databases.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A current 5-minute typing test result of 55 wpm or greater completed within the past 48 months from a recognized institution.
  • Proof of completion of a medical terminology course.
  • Your resume highlighting two years of recent experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A cover letter stating your availability for on-call and casual work.
Compensation

This position offers a competitive salary of approximately $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.
