Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist - Cytogenetics Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Cytogenetics Laboratory team at North York General Hospital. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist - Cytogenetics Specialist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures in accordance with departmental and divisional policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory procedures with accuracy and precision
- Perform preventive maintenance of equipment
- Recognize problems and take appropriate action
- Be computer proficient, have superior communication and interpersonal skills, and display a high degree of professionalism
- Provide excellent patient and family-driven care in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner
Requirements:
- Member of CMLTO or eligible for registration in Genetics (Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics)
- Experience in Cytogenetics an asset
- Bilingualism in French/English an asset
