Medical Laboratory Technologist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our dynamic team at North York General Hospital. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures in accordance with departmental and divisional policies. Your goal in this position is to provide accurate and precise results, while also maintaining a high level of productivity and competence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine and specialized lab procedures
• Participate in quality control and quality improvement programs
• Identify problems and take appropriate corrective action
• Use LIS to record and report information
Qualifications:
• Current CMLTO registration for Transfusion Medicine, Hematology, Biochemistry and Histology
• CSMLS certified/registered
• Experience in Core Laboratory an asset
• Bilingualism in French/English an asset

This is a Part Time Casual position with 8 hour shifts, Days, evenings, nights, including weekends and On call, in Core Labs. We offer a highly competitive total compensation package which includes pay in lieu of benefits, vacation pay and the opportunity to join the Hospital Pension Plan.
Requirements:
As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Hospital's Occupational Health and Safety department.
