Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory procedures, operating and maintaining equipment, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing laboratory procedures for all disciplines and functions
- Operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining cleanliness of laboratory equipment and work area
- Preparing written and electronic reports to document procedures and test results
- Participating in teaching, educational, safety, and quality improvement programs
Requirements
- Completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Technologist program
- Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists (CMLTO)
- One (1) year recent laboratory experience in a large hospital Hematology Laboratory required
- Knowledge of routine hematology and coagulation techniques
