Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at TAAG. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for managing all accounting and financial functions, providing timely reports, and contributing to the strategic direction of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations Management: Manage all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and account reconciliation, as well as revenue recognition.
  • Leadership and Support: Provide leadership and support to the accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
  • Full-Cycle Accounting: Complete full-cycle accounting, including financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Business Process Development: Develop and manage business processes and accounting policies in accordance with the company's procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting, and prepare monthly and annual operating budgets, financial forecasts, and report variances.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Compliance and Audits: Support month-end and year-end close process, quarterly compliance audits, and annual financial audits (IFRS).
  • Financial Performance Monitoring: Monitor the financial performance of the company and assist in the preparation and monitoring of bank covenants monthly.
  • Financial Metrics Communication: Communicate financial metrics to senior management.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA designation preferred.
  • Experience: Three years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management roles, preferably in the auto financing industry.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of auto financing products, loan servicing, and credit risk management; proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting; experience with accounting software and systems (e.g. Sage 50), preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy; strong leadership and communication abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
