Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at TAAG. As an Assistant Controller, you will play a critical role in driving the financial success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Manage all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and account reconciliation.
    • Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
    • Complete full-cycle accounting, including financial statement preparation and review.
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting
    • Develop and manage business processes and accounting policies in accordance with company procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
    • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
    • Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets, financial forecasts, and report variances.
  • Financial Leadership and Collaboration
    • Support month-end and year-end close process.
    • Support quarterly compliance audits and annual financial audits (IFRS).
    • Monitor the financial performance of the company.
    • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of bank covenants monthly.
    • Communicate financial metrics to senior management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA designation preferred.
  • Three years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management roles, preferably in the auto financing industry.
  • Strong understanding of auto financing products, loan servicing, and credit risk management.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience with accounting software and systems (e.g. Sage 50), preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accounting standards applicable to auto financing companies.
