Powertrain Calibration Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Calibration Engineer to join our team at BRP. As a Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and calibration of 4-cycle engines and transmissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engine calibration strategies to optimize performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop powertrain control software.
  • Conduct optimization trials using chassis dynamometers, tracks, and engine dynamometers.
  • Analyze system failure modes and develop calibration methods to reduce development time and increase engine function robustness.

Requirements

  • Engineer's diploma in mechanical engineering, physics, science, thermodynamics, mechatronics, automation, or robotics.
  • Relevant experience in the development of internal combustion engines or mechatronic systems.
  • Knowledge of engine control strategies, including reduction of polluting emissions, performance, reliability, certification, etc.
  • Fluency in English and French for daily interaction with suppliers.
  • Awareness of new technologies in the field of engines and vehicles.
  • Enthusiasm for motor sports and mechanics.
  • Dynamic and motivated by new challenges.
