We are seeking a highly skilled Calibration Technician to join our team at BRP. As a key member of our powertrain group, you will be responsible for the calibration of 4-cycle engines and transmissions, ensuring optimal performance, fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform engine injection system adjustments to optimize performance and reduce emissions.
- Collaborate with the development of powertrain group control software.
- Coordinate and participate in optimization trials using chassis dynamometers, tracks, and engine dynamometers.
- Determine calibration methods to reduce development time and increase engine function robustness.
- Diagnose system failure modes and their effects on the vehicle.
- Engineer's diploma in mechanical engineering, physics, science, thermodynamics, mechatronics, automation, or robotics.
- Relevant experience in the development of internal combustion engines or mechatronic systems.
- Knowledge of engine control strategies, including reduction of polluting emissions, performance, reliability, certification, etc.
- Fluency in English and French for daily interaction with suppliers.
- Awareness of new technologies in the field of engines and vehicles.
