We are seeking a highly skilled Cook to join our culinary team at Kylin Restaurant and Buffet. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure accurate tracking and ordering.
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Organize buffets and banquets to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Manage kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Or equivalent experience.
Work Setting:
- Restaurant environment with fast-paced and dynamic kitchen operations.
Physical Capabilities:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Cuisine Specialties:
