Role Overview
Lifemark is seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our team in the delivery of medical, psycho-social and vocational rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in diagnostic assessments to identify diagnoses, level of distress, and functional impairment, recommending treatment options.
- Provide psychological treatment for complex conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and concurrent disorders.
- Work autonomously, providing one-on-one psychological services, and collaborate with interdisciplinary mental health teams.
- Provide supervision to other psychologists and psychotherapists, as required.
- Offer consultation to team members and management on clinical cases and practice dilemmas.
- Develop new mental health program content for diverse client groups.
- Leverage innovative approaches to mental health service delivery, including digital therapeutics.
- Apply assessment competencies to various applications, such as pre-employment suitability assessments and diagnostic assessments.
- Consult with mental health service team members and clinical interdisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to in-house training sessions and interdisciplinary case discussions.
Requirements
- Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited university.
- Current registration in good standing with the provincial College/Board of Psychologists, with competency in adult populations and clinical settings.
- Individual professional liability insurance required at the time of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Conducting psychological assessments with adults for treatment planning.
- Providing evidence-based treatments grounded in cognitive-behavioral approaches.
- Developing and evaluating mental health programs.
- Working in interdisciplinary teams and with third-party payers.
- Utilizing telehealth/virtual care methods.
