HSE Specialist

Job Description
The HSE Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment at Safran Landing Systems. This position requires a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as the ability to develop and implement effective safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Provide technical expertise in the design and development of facilities, work areas, and safe work procedures
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Safran HSE standards
- Monitor and ensure company compliance with relevant HSE legislation, rules, and regulations
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Engineering/Environmental Sciences
- Professional certification in HSE (CRSP, CSP, CPE) or eligibility for certification
- 5-8 years of experience in HSE in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of federal, provincial, and local HSE regulations and experience in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and AS9100
