About Us

CAD Industries Ferroviaires Ltée, a leading provider of full-service solutions in the freight, passenger and commuter rail industries, is seeking a highly skilled Rail Operations Data Specialist to join their team.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced individual to review and enter data information into our documentation management system for the Metrolinx's Legacy Fleet Maintenance operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper management of documentation using our Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Responsibilities
  • Confirm that all HSE policies, processes and procedures are being complied with
  • Maintain the accuracy of data collected and entered into the CMMS, ensuring timely completion of all data entry tasks
  • Verify data by using source documents, proactively identifying any discrepancies or errors
  • Monitor and update existing data as required, ensuring the integrity of our database
  • Generate reports – customized, standard and ad-hoc, as needed by the business, performing data searches to support decision-making
  • Process maintenance work orders and track progress to ensure timely completion, closing out completed work orders in the system
  • Assist with the distribution of preventative maintenance schedules, amending and tracking required changes
  • Conduct training and information sessions on the CMMS program as needed, ensuring all team members are up-to-date with the latest procedures
  • Comply with backup processes to ensure the safety and integrity of data stored
  • Develop KPIs and present data to senior management, highlighting potential complications and recommending solutions
  • Work with the team to prepare and create recurrent reports requested by operations or higher management
Requirements
  • Experience working in an environment with CMMS or other data entry systems, preferably in the rail industry
  • Ability to build strong rapport with the team and unionized maintenance personnel, fostering a collaborative environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and understanding of grammar, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting
  • High School diploma or degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
What We Offer

A competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and rewarding work environment.
