About the Role

As a key member of the EssilorLuxottica Group, we are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team in North America. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing EHS strategies that drive performance improvement across our manufacturing, research and development, warehouse, and office facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EHS KPIs, including injury statistics, workers' compensation, EHS projects, sustainability initiatives, and other programs across the N.A Region.
  • Support worker's comp reporting, follow up with injured employees and supervisors, identify return-to-work opportunities, and partner with occupational clinics, corporate WC claim teams, HR, and legal departments to facilitate long-term employment solutions.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to conduct risk assessments and manage change reviews to proactively identify potential risks.
  • Interface with internal partners on EHS initiatives, including new product, equipment, chemical, and process introductions.
  • Track, document, and file regulatory reports, incident investigations, waste manifests, SDS, VOC reporting, air quality monitoring, and other environmental and safety-related tasks.
  • Develop and maintain EHS performance metrics, trend analysis, OSHA reporting to internal stakeholders, leadership, parent company, and other key stakeholders.
  • Conduct hands-on inspections, risk assessments, and other related prevention activities with departments and facilities.
  • Support the implementation of an EHS culture strategy and adapt as necessary to meet changing business needs.
  • Analyze trends, make recommendations, and develop reporting to modify and improve HSE practices.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Safety Science, Chemistry, Industrial Hygiene, Safety and Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years' experience building, supporting, and maintaining analytical systems, including Power BI, SQL, and Alteryx.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal EHS requirements.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, changing, or growing organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other web-based apps and analysis tools.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

We offer a competitive salary, which is estimated to be around $85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, you may also be eligible for a bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
