
Peer Support Specialist

In this role as a Peer Support Worker with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will work as a member of an interdisciplinary care team to provide non-clinical, peer-based services in accordance with established care plans.
About the Position
This is a temporary full-time opportunity in the Suicide Prevention and Addictions Team at Vancouver General Hospital, offering a salary of CAD $29.83/Hr.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to provide peer support services
- Assist patients/clients in exploration of skill building, community integration, and the development of natural supports
- Support patient/client recovery through the use of motivational and supportive self-disclosure
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need a Certificate in a Social Services program and completion of a recognized Peer Support Training program, as well as two years of recent related experience.
