Job Title: Peer Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Peer Support Worker to join our team at Collingwood Neighbourhood House. As a Peer Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges, providing a safe and non-judgmental space for them to share their experiences and work towards their goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide peer support and guidance to individuals with mental health challenges, helping them to develop coping strategies and work towards their goals.
  • Assist individuals in accessing community resources and services, ensuring they receive the support they need to maintain their well-being.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in peer support and mental health.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Availability to work 12 hours per week.
