Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Road Maintenance Technician to join our Infrastructure Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing roads and other infrastructure assets to ensure they are safe and functional.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on roads, bridges, and other infrastructure assets.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as trucks, excavators, and cranes to perform maintenance and repairs.
  • Conduct inspections of roads and infrastructure assets to identify potential issues and develop plans for maintenance and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that maintenance and repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve the safety and functionality of roads and infrastructure assets.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience in infrastructure maintenance and repair preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • CDL, DOT/MTO certifications, and electrical and welding certifications highly desirable.
Work Environment

The employee will be regularly exposed to traffic and outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The employee will occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment will be moderate but can be more than moderate at times.

The employee will be required to stand, sit, walk on a wide range of surfaces, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee will be required to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment. The employee will be required to pass a fit test for a respirator as required and work at heights and in confined spaces.
