Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, assess, and refine processes and equipment utilized in water and wastewater systems
  • Operate, sustain, and oversee system process machinery
  • Implement process modifications and operational strategies to maintain efficiency and regulatory compliance
  • Gather samples, conduct analyses, and evaluate outcomes
  • Employ tools such as Process Control Systems and SCADA for operational tasks

Maintenance Responsibilities:

  • Execute mechanical and electrical upkeep on facility machinery
  • Oversee the JobPlus CMMS system for facility management
  • Perform inventory checks on equipment and supplies as necessary

Required Qualifications:

  • Understanding of environmental compliance standards
  • Expertise in water and wastewater treatment methodologies
  • Proficiency in process control automation systems
  • Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving aptitude
  • Possession of valid MECP Water/Wastewater operating certifications and a Class G Driver's License is essential

Educational Background:

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Post-Secondary Education in a Technical Trade is mandatory

Work Environment:

  • Physical Requirements: Includes walking, standing, and sitting
  • Engagement in operation and maintenance tasks is required throughout
  • Potential exposure to chemicals and machinery is a consideration
