Accounting Operations Role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team at CB Canada. This exciting opportunity will provide you with a challenging and rewarding experience in a fast-paced work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process full-cycle accounts payable, including issuing purchase orders, reconciling supporting documents to invoices, and maintaining electronic filing systems.
  • Review accounts payable aging reports, open purchase orders, and perform necessary follow-ups.
  • Correspond with vendors directly, resolve invoice and statement discrepancies, and process credits or returns.
  • Send invoices and billing backup to clients or upload to client online portals following client billing procedures.
  • Process cheques, cash deposits, and electronic funds transfers, and make required journal entries.
  • Review accounts receivable aging reports and correspond with project managers and clients directly, follow-up on delinquent payments, or discrepancies between payment and account statement.
  • Accounts receivable and payable month-end related tasks.
  • Credit applications and maintain customer credit limits.
  • Team cross-training and coverage (administrative and accounting).
  • Other accounting or ad hoc related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well.
  • Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP).
  • Command of Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Deep understanding of bi-Monthly Payroll.
  • Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines.
  • Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible, and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent and to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
  • Previous accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper, preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills.
  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills.
