Job Summary:

IMP Group is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Structural Repair Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing repairs and modifications on aircraft structural components and ground support equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform First, Second, and Third Level repairs on aircraft structural components and ground support equipment, including assessment of damage, control of corrosion, and replacement of aircraft structures and structural components.
  • Conduct ramp duties, including pre/post flight support, marshalling, parking, towing, fueling/defueling, and installation/removal of required mission equipment and crash and salvage response.
  • Travel and work at other main operating bases, deployments in support of operations at remote sites, mobile repair parties, and ferry flights.
  • Provide on-job-training to other employees and attend training for trade and personnel development and for qualification/certification purposes.
  • Ensure a clean, safe work area and adhere to policies, procedures, and directives established by the Company.
  • Supervise other employees and perform other tasks as may be required from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft structures and structural components, inspection techniques, damage assessment, aircraft materials and hardware, use of special tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of corrosion control techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as maintenance manuals, work packages, drawings, blueprints, and Standard Plant Procedures.
  • Ability to use standard computer programs and specialized ones as may be necessary in the performance of the duties.
  • Ability to drive vehicles and tow tractors.
  • Graduate of a recognized aircraft structural repair course or apprenticeship program and hold a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license or be qualified as an aircraft structures technician within the Canadian Armed Forces or equivalent commercial experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in aircraft structural repair is required.
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program.
