Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Aviation Mechanic to join our team at StandardAero in Greenwood, Nova Scotia. As an Aviation Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on aircraft engines and components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on aircraft engines and components, including the T-56 engine.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot issues with aircraft engines and components.
  • Use precision measuring equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Replace defective parts and reassemble units to ensure airworthiness.
  • Maintain detailed repair and certification records.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of cell processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized training in engineering or aircraft maintenance an asset.
  • Experience as an aircraft mechanic in an aerospace environment.
  • Knowledge of the T-56 engine and its components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
