Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
The IMP Group is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing first and second line aircraft maintenance on the Cormorant Helicopter in support of our Canadian Search and Rescue operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on aircraft mechanical, structural, and electrical systems and components, including servicing, inspection, removal, cleaning, repair, installation, adjustment, testing, and certification.
- Conduct pre- and post-flight inspections and support, marshalling, parking, towing, fueling/defueling, and installation of required mission equipment.
- Perform ground runs of engines and auxiliary power units, where qualified and authorized.
- Travel to other main operating bases, deployments in support of operations at remote sites, mobile repair parties, and ferry flights.
- Provide on-the-job training to other employees.
- Attend training for trade and professional development and for qualification, recertification, and authorization purposes.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment by sweeping and cleaning hangar, shop, stores, and office areas.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and directives.
- Supervise other employees as required.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a recognized aircraft maintenance course or apprenticeship program and hold a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license or be qualified as an aircraft aviation technician within the Canadian Forces or equivalent commercial experience.
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, including power plants, flight controls, dynamic systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, environmental, basic structures, and power generation and distribution systems.
- Knowledge of use of special tools and equipment, corrosion, and corrosion control techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, such as maintenance manuals, work packages, drawings, blueprints, and Standard Plant Procedures.
- Valid NS Class 5 Driver License and ability to drive vehicles, tow tractors, and support vehicles.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies.
- Pass and maintain Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) and Transport Canada security clearances.
- Meet requirements for the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
- Pass and maintain a Level II (Secret) security clearance with the Department of National Defence.
