Job Description:

This is a senior leadership role at Balazs, responsible for driving the implementation of financial process improvement strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with experience in implementing ERP systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the overall financial process: accounting, chart of accounts, inventory, bank, taxes, cash application, roll out & reporting, and internal controls.
  • Assess current financial policies and procedures (Air Liquide Canada, Airgas & Business Support Center).
  • Enforce standardization and industrialization through the Group FiCoPro Core Model.
  • Identify and document business process and system gaps.
  • Ensure that workflows incorporate key financial and procurement controls as identified in policies and procedures.
  • Determine how cash balance and other balance sheet items should be accounted for into the new system.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in finance and accounting.
  • Technical Abilities: Excellent knowledge of accounting software and processes, preferably with an understanding of multi-currency, multi-site, and multi-organizational implementations.
  • Customer-oriented and service-driven: Precisely answers customer requests, is attentive to customers, respects commitments towards customers and initiates new ideas to meet customer expectations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Gets to know others and forms relationships, maintains very good relationships with colleagues, respects the ideas and opinions of others.

  • Decision Making: Ability to achieve consensus between stakeholders with divergent interests.
  • Translation: Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical requirements and vice versa.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience managing projects.

Salary:

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
