About This Role

As a Technology Director at Apply Digital, you will be responsible for leading our clients through transformative digital change. This role requires a versatile technologist with a broad understanding of technologies across the stack in various applications. You will provide strategic guidance as a primary client-facing member of the Technology and Account Leadership Team, offering valuable insights and formulating robust points of view on technology stacks and future strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client & Business Management: Provide expert advice and nurture relationships with stakeholders within client organizations, identifying and nurturing growth opportunities within projects.
  • Thought Leadership: Position our consultancy as a leader in delivering transformative technical solutions, including thought leadership and client education on technical trends and customer experience enhancements.
  • Technical Leadership & Delivery Oversight: Oversee and guide the work of software engineers and technical team members, ensuring punctual and high-quality delivery of scalable solutions.
  • Mentorship & Team Collaboration: Develop expertise within the team in delivering cutting-edge solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business goals.
  • Risk Management & Process Improvement: Identify, prevent, and mitigate risks that might impact the success of the engagement, escalating and providing solutions for issues and risks to executive leadership when needed.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of technology leadership in platform-scale software development.
  • Experience in leading a distributed team across time zones and regions.
  • Strong experience in system design and technical architecture for platform solutions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of web and mobile software engineering, systems design, and project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in advising and supporting clients as they undergo digital transformation, providing innovative vision while nurturing a strong client relationship.
  • Sound stakeholder management abilities, able to build trust and align stakeholders across teams, levels, and technical ability.
  • Keen strategic insight at the executive level, ensuring technical solutions align with business goals.
  • Experience in identifying and managing a wide array of risks, including technical, staffing, scoping, and client relationship risks.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to foster trust and build a collaborative relationship with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Proven ability to mentor team members and foster a high-performance culture in large multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to continuously improve delivery velocity by actively embracing automation and process optimization.
  • Familiarity with identity platforms (IdP) and enterprise-level software operations.
