Director Underwriting Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Director Underwriting to join our team at Reinsurance Group of America Inc. As a key member of our underwriting department, you will be responsible for managing a team of underwriters and ensuring the delivery of high-quality underwriting services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead a team of underwriters to achieve departmental objectives
  • Develop and implement underwriting approaches and procedures
  • Handle client-related issues and provide senior technical support to the underwriting team
  • Communicate and motivate the team to achieve excellent results
  • Manage, coach, and mentor staff to develop their skills and abilities
Requirements:
  • College diploma or university degree in a relevant field
  • Management experience, preferably in the insurance industry
  • Advanced knowledge of underwriting principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Bilingual French/English skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff
