Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Child and Youth Care Specialist to join our team at Blue Sky Family Care. The successful candidate will provide support and guidance to clients in a group home setting, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess clients' needs and develop personalized service plans
  • Implement behavior management programs and provide crisis intervention
  • Liaise with social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, promoting independence and community integration
Requirements
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, and Child welfare check
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility and initiative, with a strong focus on teamwork and client-centered care
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with children and youth in a group home or similar setting
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies and crisis intervention techniques
