Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

Blue sky Family Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of children and youth in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and address the needs of clients, ensuring they receive the necessary support and services.
  • Develop and implement programs to promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of clients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in times of need.
  • Collaborate with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Supervise activities and provide guidance to clients living in group homes and half-way houses.
  • Implement behavior management programs to promote positive behavior and well-being.
Requirements:
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Child Abuse Registry check
  • Child welfare check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Physical stamina to perform duties in a physically demanding environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children and youth in a group home or similar setting
  • Knowledge of child and youth development principles and practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
