Job Summary


The Social & Community Services Division of Simcoe County is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant II to provide administrative support to senior and middle managers.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide administrative and clerical support to senior and middle managers, including mail processing, filing, and data entry.
  • Attend meetings and prepare agendas, minutes, and other documents as required.
  • Calendar management, including scheduling and confirming appointments and meetings.
  • Liaise with County departments and external partners as required.
  • Prepare bi-weekly staff payroll and coordinate pay summaries and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate the purchase of supplies and maintenance of office equipment.
  • Provide input into the development of related policies and procedures.

Requirements



  • Minimum one-year post-secondary education in office administration or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal proficiency in the French language.
  • Advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and database application skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A minimum of three years of varied office experience in a similar position.

Working Conditions


This is a regular office environment role with regular working hours and occasional evening meetings.
