About the Opportunity

Nova Scotia Health is seeking highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and Cardiac Sonographers to join our team across the province. As a member of our Diagnostic Imaging Team, you will perform patient care, technical activities, and duties directly related to the overall functioning of the department. Your expertise will involve the performance of routine and specialized ultrasound procedures, ensuring proper application of ultrasound techniques and procedures.

About You

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
  • Sonography Canada certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Registration with more than one ultrasound credential is an asset
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours and Compensation

Various sites and community-based locations throughout Nova Scotia. You will be asked to specify your work location preferences in the screening questions that follow once you click 'Apply now >>'. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel to other sites may be required. Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate of $39.96, with opportunities for temporary market adjustments and a comprehensive benefits package.
