About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our General and Obstetrical Ultrasound departments, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical imaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of ultrasound imaging procedures, including obstetrical, gynecological, abdominal, vascular, small parts, and neonatal exams.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for all procedures and test results.
  • Participate in teaching, educational, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with a skilled team of sonographers and radiologists to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited degree or post-diploma Ultrasound program, or recognized equivalent.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Registration with Sonography Canada and the College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • 1 year of recent related experience.
  • Demonstrated maintenance of Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) in Abdomen (AB) and Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB).
  • Experience in vascular, neurosonography, and fetal assessment modalities.
