At North York General Hospital, we are committed to excellence in patient care and are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team in the Ultrasound, Medical Imaging department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality ultrasound imaging examinations to diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
  • Ensure imaging equipment is properly maintained and supplies are readily available.
  • Record and manage supply inventory for the assigned area.
  • Correlate patient history, physical findings, and lab reports with examination requirements.
  • Work efficiently and effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate excellent clinical and technical skills to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with the imaging team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Operate all equipment in the ultrasound area and assist in training ultrasound students.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a recognized sonography program from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the CMRITO is required.
  • Current registration with Sonography Canada is preferred.
  • Strong medical imaging background and a minimum of one year of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
  • Hospital experience is an asset, and bilingualism in French/English is also an asset.
