Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at North York General Hospital. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound imaging examinations and providing excellent patient and family-centered care in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner.

Key Responsibilities

Perform all ultrasound imaging examinations
Ensure imaging equipment is in proper working order and necessary supplies are on hand
Record and compute supply inventory for assigned area
Correlate history, physical findings, lab reports, etc., with examinations required
Work under pressure in a quick and efficient manner
Demonstrate excellent clinical and technical skills
Work effectively with the imaging team
Operate all the equipment in the ultrasound area
Assist in training ultrasound students

Qualifications

Successful completion of a recognized sonography program from an accredited institution
Current registration with the CMRITO is required
Current registration with Sonography Canada is preferred
You ideally have a strong medical imaging background
Minimum one year as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer preferred
Hospital experience an asset
Bilingualism in French/English is an asset

This is a Full Time Regular Position, 8 hour shifts, days, evenings, on call, including weekends in the Ultrasound, Medical Imaging department.
