The Branch Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in driving strategic vision and objectives for assigned branches. They ensure leadership excellence, superior service, and cost-effectiveness through demonstrated leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and execute business strategies to hourly branch team members, embracing change management.
  • Makes informed, fact-based decisions to support business needs and objectives.
  • Lead the team to become the customer's first choice by managing customer interactions and location efforts within aligned branches.
  • Build strong internal and external partnerships to drive success and embed Grainger's expertise as a value trigger for customers.
  • Take measured risks while balancing service, cost, ethics, and integrity.

Operational Excellence:

  • Balances operating expenses with higher service levels, identifying process improvements and removing non-value-added activities.
  • Collaborates with market leaders to identify potential solutions for growing counter and will-call volume.
  • Implements effective staffing strategies to ensure flexibility with the right mix of FT and PT team members.
  • Monitors controllable expenses to achieve expense targets, building a CI culture that promotes methodologies and project implementation.
  • Dedicates self and team to Operational Excellence, complying with all BBX standards, and maintaining safety and security for team members and customers.

Talent Management:

  • Creates an environment where team members are engaged, empowered, enthusiastic, and committed to the company's success.
  • Fosters open, continuous, and proactive communication, encouraging diverse thoughts and ideas.
  • Supports performance review discussions, sets expectations/goals, and executes them.
  • Coches growth and development of branch team members, ensuring key people drivers are executed and supporting team member engagement.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $90,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and geographical area. This role is bonus eligible. Requirements:

  • 2+ years of people leadership, customer service, and retail experience.
  • Effective project management, planning, and facilitation skills.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer focus.
  • Proven ability to meet goals and performance targets consistently – operational and financial.
