Seeking a Senior Manager of Strategic Workforce Development to join The Institute for Performance and Learning in Ottawa, Toronto or Brampton. In this role, you will oversee the development and implementation of strategic workforce initiatives to drive business success.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in talent management, including 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience leading direct and indirect reports as well as managing budgets. Experience in a unionized environment, preferably in a regulated (GMP manufacturing) or health care setting, is an asset. A strong track record of driving business results through effective change management and leadership development is also required.

In this role, you will lead a team of subject matter experts who work with leadership teams to identify talent requirements from divisional strategies and create and execute effective interventions. You will provide guidance and direction on building employee experience capability across the organization and overseeing the organization's development function, including strategy, initiative design and delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Leverage your strategic planning and delivery experience to lead the organizational process that translates corporate and divisional strategies into clearly defined organizational capabilities.
  • Harness your people leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills to lead a team of subject matter experts.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and direction over activities related to building employee experience capability across the organization.
  • Oversee the organization's development function, including strategy, initiative design and delivery.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years comprehensive and varied experience in a related field.
  • Meaningful experience in a unionized environment, preferably in a regulated (GMP manufacturing) or health care setting.
  • Change management experience in guiding leaders to create an environment that facilitates and encourages positive change.

This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at The Institute for Performance and Learning location a minimum of 40% of the time/2 days of the week, subject to change. Travel will be required, at a minimum, monthly to other locations nationally, and as required.
