About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Greenhouse Labourer to join our team at 2306422 Alberta Ltd. as a Horticulture Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the health and well-being of our plants and crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greenhouse Maintenance: Clean and maintain the greenhouse environment, including the removal of weeds and debris.
  • Plant Care: Assist in the pruning of trees, shrubs, and plants, as well as the application of fertilizers and insecticides.
  • Soil Preparation: Mix and prepare soils for planting and other horticultural activities.
  • Planting and Watering: Plant bulbs and seeds, and water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean the work area and maintain a safe and organized workspace.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physical Demands: The successful candidate will be required to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Attention to Detail: The ability to pay close attention to detail is essential in this role.
  • Teamwork: The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team to achieve our goals.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Hours: The successful candidate will be required to work 35 to 40 hours per week.
