About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Greenhouse Labourer to join our team at 2306422 Alberta Ltd. as a Horticulture Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and well-being of our plants and crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greenhouse Maintenance: Clean and maintain the greenhouse environment, including pruning trees, shrubs, and plants, and applying fertilizers and insecticides as needed.
  • Plant Care: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens, and assist in planting bulbs and seeds.
  • Soil Preparation: Mix and prepare soils for optimal plant growth.
  • Task Assistance: Assist in tasks such as weeding, spraying, and dusting plants with insecticides and fungicides.
  • Work Area Cleaning: Clean and maintain the work area, including disposing of waste and cleaning equipment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physical Demands: This role requires physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy loads, bend, crouch, and kneel.
  • Attention to Detail: You must be able to pay close attention to detail and ensure that tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Team Player: You will be working as part of a team, so excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Hours: 35-40 hours per week.
