Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Toptierreps. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, assessing, and treating human communication disorders, including speech, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnosis and Evaluation:
    • Administer comprehensive assessments to diagnose and evaluate speech, voice, resonance, language, fluency, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders
  2. Treatment and Remediation:
    • Design and implement evidence-based treatment programs to improve communication and swallowing skills
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  3. Patient and Family Support:
    • Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders
  4. Research and Development:
    • Conduct research on speech and other communication disorders to improve treatment outcomes
    • Develop and design diagnostic procedures and devices to improve assessment and treatment
  5. Supervision and Instruction:
    • Supervise and mentor communicative disorders assistants, students, and other healthcare personnel
  6. Additional Duties:
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Certification by the College of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology of Ontario (CASLPO) in good standing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to ongoing medical education and professional development
  • Ability to manage a diverse range of health issues in patients of all age groups
