Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team of professionals. As a Speech-Language Pathologist with Spark Lifecare, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, providing assessment, treatment, and support services to help them achieve their communication goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' communication needs and develop personalized treatment plans to address their goals and objectives.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, using evidence-based practices and techniques to promote effective communication and cognitive rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and caregivers, to ensure that their needs are met and their goals are achieved.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and industry developments in speech-language pathology, to ensure that our services are evidence-based and effective.
Requirements
- Registration in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
- Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work independently as well as with a multidisciplinary team.
- Computer skills (i.e. ability to work in MS Word and Outlook).
- Experience providing SLP assessment and treatment in a community setting.
- Bilingualism, preferred, but not required.
