A Rewarding Opportunity:

As an Executive Supply Chain Strategist at Trans Mountain, you'll join a well-established team of professionals leading supply chain responsibilities while ensuring strategies are aligned with the company's standards.

You will lead a group of staff to provide organizational leadership, direction, and guidance for all supply chain functions.

Our ideal candidate brings a breadth of international supply chain experience and will draw on the skills and expertise of their team and the broader Trans Mountain network to advance the overall SCM strategy.

About the Role:

  • Lead the effort to execute on the SCM plan and service delivery model for Trans Mountain.
  • Lead, direct, mentor, and develop the SCM team to ensure the delivery of workload priorities, performance, and behavior of a high-functioning team.
  • Oversee analysis of supply chain effectiveness, vendor/supplier risk, and vendor/supplier performance.
  • Responsible for providing continuous improvement opportunities for the development of procurement and contracting strategies.
  • Solicit bids for materials and services, commercial evaluation of bids, and selection of the successful bid.
  • Ensure supply chain policies, procedures, systems, and templates are standardized and comply with legal requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with legal, project management, and operational teams to negotiate or interpret purchase orders and contract terms and conditions.

About You:

  • An undergraduate degree with a Supply Chain Management Professional designation (SCMP) combined with 10-15 years of directly related experience in the energy/pipeline industry executing large projects.
  • A proven leader of people possessing strong management and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster and work in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiating skills, driven by a win-win mindset.
