About the Role

Job Title: Director, Supply Chain Management

Company: Trans Mountain

Trans Mountain is seeking a seasoned Supply Chain professional to lead our Supply Chain Management department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the overall supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of the supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives
  • Oversee the management of contracts, procurement, logistics, and material management activities
  • Direct and provide governance in Supply Chain Planning, Contract Management, Procurement, Logistics, and Material Management activities
  • Develop and execute a supply chain service model that supports Trans Mountain's business requirements
  • Build relationships with internal customers, vendors, and contractors to ensure effective utilization of the Supply Chain Management department
  • Identify and implement strategies for key corporate services such as fleet, travel, and facilities to align with business needs
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree with a Supply Chain Management Professional designation (SCMP) and 10-15 years of directly related experience
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing teams and leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster and work in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to negotiate and communicate effectively
  • Knowledgeable in contract and bid law, bidding process, and contract management strategies
  • Experience with material/inventory management and customs and excise is preferred
