Job Summary:
The University of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the Admissions Office in the College of Medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Admissions Office, including managing the general admissions email account and triaging higher-level email inquiries to the appropriate individuals.
- Assist with verification, recording, and extracting of applicant information in RMS Recruit.
- Assist with the management and coordination of information to applicants during the admissions process.
- Assist with interview planning and the carrying out of the interview process.
- Provide administrative support to the Admissions Committee, including scheduling meetings, maintaining SharePoint, recording and transcribing minutes.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 12 and a recognized post-secondary or administrative assistant program is required.
- Three to five years of related experience, preferably in a university setting, is required.
- Experience with the Relationship Management System (RMS) Recruit, Banner (SiRius), Banner Document Management, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Crystal Reports, Canvas, Cascade, and a strong knowledge of the University of Saskatchewan policies and procedures would be an asset.

- Ability to work in a high-volume setting and manage multiple projects with competing demands and deadlines.
- Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment, balancing the need to work independently and also as part of a team.
- Self-directed and takes initiative.
- Interpret and apply policies and follow instruction.

- Strong computer skills, including keyboarding and proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database management.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; tact, diplomacy; intercultural sensitivity, and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to recognize and analyze problems, take appropriate actions or formulate an appropriate response, and also have the ability to recognize when other staff need to be involved/consulted.
