Respiratory Therapist

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our Cardio-Respiratory Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our respiratory therapy services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Implement and evaluate respiratory therapy protocols, ensuring adherence to established standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy and registered with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Current Heart & Stroke BCLS (Level C) Certification.
- Member in good standing with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) preferred.
- Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and work under pressure.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A competitive hourly rate of $40.66.
