About the OpportunityThe Respiratory Therapist performs assigned duties as required by the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapist's Scope of Practice and Institutional Policy and Procedure. This role includes:
- Assessing patients' respiratory needs and developing treatment plans
- Implementing respiratory therapy protocols and evaluating patient progress
- Providing education to patients and their families on respiratory therapy and disease management
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
We are seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist with:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy and registration with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification
- Current Heart & Stroke BCLS (Level C) Certification
- Member in good standing with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapist (CSRT)
- Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and work under pressure
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $40.66 hourly and be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
