Respiratory Therapist Opportunity at Nova Scotia Health
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health, providing high-quality care to patients in the Northern Zone, Colchester East Hants Health Centre.

The Respiratory Therapist will perform assigned duties as required by the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists' Scope of Practice and Institutional Policy and Procedure, including assessments, treatment implementation, evaluation, care planning, and patient education.
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in Respiratory Therapy, be registered with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists, and possess advanced certifications in Cardiac Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation.
The successful candidate will be eligible for a competitive salary of $40.66 hourly, as well as a benefits package including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform respiratory assessments and implement treatment plans
- Evaluate patient progress and adapt treatment plans as needed
- Provide education and support to patients and families
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to achieve patient goals
Requirements:
- Graduate degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Registration with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists
- Advanced certifications in Cardiac Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation
- Member in good standing with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT)
- Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and work under pressure
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
