Closing the Gap Healthcare is dedicated to providing Canadians with exceptional care across a wide range of home-based and community setting services. As an Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to bring your integrated approach to therapy services to our clients' homes.

This is not a one-size-fits-all role. If you are looking for a position where you can use a variety of your therapy skills to improve the well-being of your clients and build your passion for Home Care, then this role may be right for you.

Key requirements include:

  • A graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized Post-Secondary program
  • Active registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Ontario College of Occupational Therapists
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

You will be responsible for assessing and building accurate therapy care plans based on the real environment of our clients. This includes developing health promotion programs, prescribing equipment and supplies, and promoting client safety.

Creativity and adaptability are essential for this role, as you will need to provide complex preventative or corrective actions for a variety of clients with diverse needs. You will also solve problems that interfere with their ability to do things that are important to them.

As a member of our team, you will partner with clients' family members, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals regarding treatment goals and service plans. We offer a hybrid model of care, including face-to-face and virtual visits, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you and your clients.
