About Us

Canoe Therapy is a pediatric therapy team that takes a holistic approach to care, considering the child and family as a whole. Our team includes Speech-Language Pathology, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Behaviour Therapy services.

The Opportunity

This hands-on position involves assessment, consultation, and treatment of children from birth to young adults across various diagnoses. Services may be delivered in clinic settings or community-based environments, including home and school settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and develop treatment plans for children with developmental, cognitive, academic, socio-emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Provide individualized consultations and therapies to promote child growth and well-being.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support system.
Requirements
  • A Doctoral degree (D. in Clinical or Clinical Developmental Psychology) from an accredited institution.
  • Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, or eligibility for Supervised Practice, with competencies in assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and families.
  • Experience in the assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (including ADOS-2 and ADI-R), ADHD, Learning Disability, and thorough experience in developmental, cognitive, academic, socio-emotional, and behavioral assessment.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including professional development opportunities and a supportive work environment.
