We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Relationship Manager to join our team at CIBC. As a key member of our Indigenous Markets division, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our Indigenous clients, driving business growth in the commercial segments.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial banking and experience working with Indigenous peoples and/or communities. You will leverage partnerships with the broader market team and coordinate with internal partners across CIBC to deliver a broad range of Commercial Banking and financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage relationship with Indigenous commercial clients, responsible to be the client advocate within the Bank.
  • Proactively engage with internal partners, prospects, clients, and COIs in a manner that expands CIBC's presence and awareness of Indigenous communities and businesses throughout the region.
  • Actively monitor and manage the profitability of CIBC's relationship with Indigenous clients.
  • Originate new client relationships that leverage knowledge and expertise, CIBC's capabilities, and meet CIBC risk tolerances and profitability hurdles.
  • Accountable for credit risk, credit expiries, and the credit application process.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must self-identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit. A post-secondary degree, diploma, or certification in Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is also required.

Benefits and Compensation

This position offers a competitive salary estimated at $110,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including wellbeing support, employee and family assistance programs, and MomentMakers, our social recognition program.
