About the Role
As a Workplace Health and Safety Specialist Intern at Amazon, you'll have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in improving the safety and efficiency of our fulfillment processes. This exciting internship is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with various Workplace Health and Safety Teams and WHS interns on projects related to safety improvements.
• Research and analyze data to inform safety-related recommendations as part of your final project, which will be presented to senior leadership.
• Assist in designing, building, and innovating order fulfillment safety programs, projects, and initiatives across all three lanes (first mile, middle mile, and last mile) of our fulfillment infrastructure.

What You'll Learn
This internship offers a comprehensive learning experience, including:
• Onboarding with OSHA10, First Aid/CPR/AED certification, technical writing, and introduction to project management training.
• Working closely with functional teams such as Operations, RME (Reliability Maintenance & Engineering), Central Teams, Human Resources, Transportation Operations, and others to plan and execute assigned projects.
• Developing and expanding your professional network through participation in WHS Intern activities and events.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with an expected completion date between December 2025 and August 2026, and pursuing a degree in Health Science, Safety Engineering, Health & Safety, Safety Management, or a related field. Additionally, you should possess strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office products, and analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability.

Salary Information
The base salary for this position ranges from $28.37 per hour to $40.38 per hour, reflecting the cost of labor across several Canada geographic markets. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers a total compensation package that includes equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits, in addition to medical, financial, and other standard benefits.
