Occupational Health and Safety Manager

Amazon is seeking a dedicated Occupational Health and Safety Manager to join their team. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and applicable federal and state laws.
About the JobThis position involves coordinating and implementing Amazon's Global Program as directed by leadership. The ideal candidate will promote a positive culture while upholding Amazon's standards and maintaining a safe work environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate systems.
- Supporting management efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations and applicable laws.
- Conducting risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions.
- Recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics.
The successful candidate must be willing to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. They should have a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, particularly 29 CFR 1910, and experience using Microsoft Word and Excel. A minimum of one year of experience in an environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field or equivalent is required. A Bachelor's degree in EHS-relevant background or higher, preferably in a safety-related field, is also acceptable.
Requirements- A minimum of one year of experience in an environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field.
- Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills.
- Experience leading and managing a team, analyzing accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns, and conducting job hazard and job safety analyses.
- First Aid and CPR certifications are a plus.
The estimated annual salary for this role is between $70,000 and $90,000, depending on location and experience.
