About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at East Side Mario's. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food items to order, following established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Portion and package take-out food for customers.
  • Restock refrigerators, salad bars, and other storage areas as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely and efficiently.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a high level of productivity.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
